After
boiling the potatoes, drain them well; cool slightly. Cut the ends
from the potatoes; slip off and discard the peels.
Place
the potatoes, onions, marjoram, and pepper in a large bowl of an
electric mixer. Beat at moderate speed for about 10 seconds, or
until potatoes are broken up. Add the broth and beat at a higher
speed for about 30 seconds, or until smooth. Add the sour cream
and beat on a low speed for about 20 seconds, or until blended.
Serve immediately.
