Grilled Cheese and Chicken Pizza Sandwich
Servings: 2 Prep: 8 minutes — Cook: 6 minutes

Grilled Cheese and Chicken Pizza Sandwich Grilled Cheese and Chicken Pizza Sandwich

Kids love pizza! This version gets turned inside out, then stuffed with leftover chicken (or turkey) and grilled. And, it's easy enough for most kids to make with supervision.

INGREDIENTS
1 (6-inch-round) thick pizza shell
1/2 cup chunky pasta sauce
1/2 cup mix of shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheese
1/2 cup cooked chicken
1 tablespoon butter

METHOD

Slice the pizza shell in half horizontally. Spread each half with the pasta sauce. Sprinkle the bottom half with the chicken and then the cheese. Close the sandwich with the top half, sauce-side down.

Melt the butter over medium heat in a small skillet coated with DuPont SilverStone® non-stick. When the butter is warm, add the sandwich and cook about 6 minutes, or until golden brown. Flip over and grill the other side. Let cool slightly before cutting into 4 pie-shaped slices and serve.
