S'more Brownies
Servings: 16 (2 inch) squares Prep and cook: 45 minutes

S'more Brownies, Mom S'more Brownies, Mom

Everyone loves the homey taste of S'mores, the chewy easy-to-assemble snack of the 1950's. The taste of the graham cracker cookies with chocolate bits and marshmallows melted over a campfire is a taste worth baking yourself. Easy Cooking has created a way to bring this snack inside the house by using most of the same ingredients.

INGREDIENTS
Brownies:
2 cups graham cracker crumbs
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup butter, softened
1 box-brownie mix for an 8 or 9-inch pan
Topping:
4 chocolate bars (6-ounce bars)
3 cups or more miniature marshmallows

METHOD

Preheat oven according to brownie mix directions. To prepare the crust, stir together the graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and butter in a small bowl. Press the mixture into the bottom of an 8- or 9-inch-square baking pan coated with DuPont SilverStone® non-stick.

Make the brownie mix and pour over the crust. Bake according to package directions.

Melt the chocolate bars in a double boiler. Keep warm.

When the brownies are finished baking, place pan on a wire rack. Remove the entire cake out of the pan and onto a cutting board. Cut the brownies into squares and place on a baking sheet coated with DuPont SilverStone® non-stick. Immediately spread the marshmallows over the top, completely covering each brownie. Place under the broiler, at least 4 inches from heat, for 1 to 2 minutes or just until marshmallows turn a golden brown. Cool slightly, then drizzle the melted chocolate over the marshmallows and serve.
