Sparkling Millennium Punch
Servings: 12

Sparkling Millennium Punch
Toast the next century by clinking glasses, but remember that for a toast to be sincere, you must meet everyone's eyes as well as their glasses. To serve, a punch bowl with cups is always nice or use clear pitchers and champagne glasses
.

INGREDIENTS

1 12-ounce can frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed
1 cup brandy
6 tablespoons sugar
1/2 orange, thinly sliced
1/2 lemon, thinly sliced
3 cups ice cubes
2 bottles champagne or dry sparkling wine
1 cup cranberry juice or more for color, if desired

METHOD

In a 1 to 1 1/2-quart pitcher, mix the concentrate, brandy, and sugar until the sugar is dissolved. Cut the orange and lemon slices into quarters; add to the pitcher with ice cubes; mix thoroughly. For each serving, pour 1 part lemonade mixture and 2 parts champagne into a champagne flute. Garnish with a few citrus pieces and serve.
