Getting Creative -Tailgating and Other Autumn Picnics

At least three weeks before the party, review the entire menu and picture how you want the evening to go, then make a list of what needs to be done and when.

Clean out your refrigerator and pantry areas to make sure you have enough room for the party foods.

Get all the serving pieces you plan to use ready. Clean and polish your silver and crystal so your table settings sparkle.

If your table isn't big enough to accommodate all your guests, first protect the table with a cloth and add a large piece of plywood over that. Cover with a pretty tablecloth, and voila! No one will know the difference.
