A Glowing Holiday Dinner-Candle Ideas

Place a large welcoming candle in your entryway to greet guests. When everyone has arrived safely, extinguish the flame.

Make a brilliant centerpiece for the table with a pedestal cake plate. Fill it entirely with pillar candles in varying sizes in the colors of your choice, or make a simple statement with one large pillar surrounded by evergreens or flowers.

In the powder room, keep a scented pillar candle burning on a fire-safe surface. It makes the room look and smell lovely.

Use candles generously but with caution. Glass hurricanes or other shields keep flames under control. High-quality, dripless candles may cost more, but they burn longer and protect your fine candlesticks and furniture.

Lighting candles is quick and easy with small butane stick lighters. Extinguishing them takes on an air of elegance when you use an attractive candle snuffer.
